Day 117..."Various laws...Shortest Psalm...Humility"

Deuteronomy 25 has laws of how to beat a man 40 times and no more, brother's should continue the family through marriage with disceased brother's widow, and some unbelievable details about wives fighting. We will read the lengthy 119 Psalm in two days (171 verses) and today is the shortest (2 verses). Though brief there is a great message..."For great is his steadfast love toward us,and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.Praise the Lord!" Jesus teaches the Sabbath is for "getting the ox out of the ditch." Jesus teaches about humility..."For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.” The parable of the wedding feast makes the mission of the Kingdom clear...invite, invite, invite. If people do not come keep inviting...saints and sinners alike!
