Numbers closes with rules about what consitutes the death penalty and what does not...notice how two witnesses are required. Is this not consistent with modern day trials? Chapter 36 closes with rules for female Heirs. "The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon." The Psalmist has a vision of fruitfulness and growth..."They are planted in the house of the Lord;they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age;they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Mary and Elizabeth share in the expectation of children...Elizabeth's child (John) jumped in the womb. Zechariah was speechless because of a lack of belief. Later his voice is restored.
