Day 94..."God's faithfulness..Jesus amazing even as a Child!"

One statement struck me as I think of Israel was stuck in the wilderness fourty years...."These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.”' Was this the first classic case of..."it is not the destination but the journey that is most important!" Can the wilderness also be a metaphor for learning to trust God? The Psalmist also says it another way..."For the Lord will not forsake his people;he will not abandon his heritage; for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it." The Luke reading makes more sense having just read about the custom of "turtle doves and pigeons" in the Leviticus. There is great anticipation about Jesus! Simeon and Anna build the anticipation! Jesus does a disappearing act on His parents. This is not bad parenting...rather people traveled enmasse and it is possible for Joseph and Mary to not notice for a while. Obviously, even as a child, Jesus is amazing in His teaching and with a greater purpose !
