Day 124..."Moses Song...Give Thanks"
The 32nd chapter of Deuteronomy is long and a song. Moses wrote a song filled with imagery like rain, dew, rocks, and "apple of the eye." The chapter also speaks of the disarray for those who do not follow the Lord with images like doom, calamity, and plagues. Moses is told of the mountain in which he will die. Psalm 124:18 is one of my favorite passages..."Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth." The story of the ten lepers is also one of my favorites. How absurd that only one 0ut of ten healed lepers returned to give thanks. The absurdity of the story as in that was a Samaritan that gave thanks. Is this not revealing of today? How many of us fail to return to give thanks? God is so good! How can we ever forget to give thanks to all He has done for us?

Today's Matt. reading is used by some to describe the "Rapture" or catching away to Jesus of the Church at the end of the age. The important part is to be ready whether the Lord comes for us at our death or at the end of the age. Like the lone leper, give praise & glory to God.
