Day 133..."Israel prevails against mighty armies...Unity...Upper Room"

Israel is able to prevail over mighty armies. The last sentence, in chapter eleven, summarizes well... "So Joshua took the whole land, according to all that the Lord had spoken to Moses. And Joshua gave it for an inheritance to Israel according to their tribal allotments. And the land had rest from war." In the scorecard of victories, thirty-one Kings were defeated by Joshua. The occupation of the promised land was only after countless battles. In a contrasting message, the Psalmist says..."Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!" The Old Testament deals with war times and times of unity. Luke version of the passover also includes the Last Supper, Judas's betrayal, a debate about who is the greatest, and Peter's denial. There is also contains a distinctive story of how they made it to the Upper Room. “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters and tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ And he will show you a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” And they went and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover."
