Day 137..."More Inheritances...City of Refuge...Resurrection"

Joshua continues with the inheritances and gives a detailed account...including his own. Provisions for the city of refuge (for those who accidently kill) is also set up in the promised land. Psalm 137:9 is a troubling Biblical passage. In the NIV notes, one explanation of the passage is war is cruel. (Obviously this passage does not in any way change the blessedness of children in God's sight) After reading Psalm 137:9, Luke's resurrection is very special about life...“Why do you seek the living among the dead?" A good message for every day and not just Easter!
