Day 142..."Psalms 140 and 141"
The Psalmist is praying for protection from his enemies. He is very dramatic in saying..."Deliver me, O Lord, from evil men; preserve me from violent men, who plan evil things in their heartand stir up wars continually." In Psalm 141, he seems to be praying for protection against himself..."Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth;keep watch over the door of my lips! Do not let my heart incline to any evil,to busy myself with wicked deedsin company with men who work iniquity, and let me not eat of their delicacies!" Even in these times the Psalmist saw himself as potentially his worst enemy. Pogo may be right!
