Day 154..."Sampson another birth story...A riddle...Samaritans respond to Jesus"

Manoah's wife was told by an angel she would have a special son. The angel said the son was not to drink wine or cut his hair...Sampson is one of the most well known people in the Bible.
His marriage, the killing of the lion with bare hands, and a riddle that caused death are all amazing stories. Proverbs seven is much like six and five. There is a warning about the destruction that can come through an adulterous relationship. Is this not a metaphor for Israel's unfaithfulness to God?..."And now, O sons, listen to me,and be attentive to the words of my mouth. Let not your heart turn aside to her ways;do not stray into her paths, for many a victim has she laid low,and all her slain are a mighty throng. Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the chambers of death." Jesus' acceptance of the Samaritan woman influenced others to respond to His teachings, as He remained with the Samaritans two days. In the second sign of Jesus' public ministry, He heals an official's son near where He turned the water into wine.
