Day 159..."Loyalty...Gems...Jesus"

One of the most loyal lines of the Bible is found in the Book of Ruth. In Naomi's loss of a son and Ruth a husband, tradition would have it they would part ways but Ruth says..."For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you.” The Proverbs contain "gems" like..."Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid" and "Anxiety in a man's heart weighs him down,but a good word makes him glad" and "In the path of righteousness is life,and in its pathway there is no death." Jesus was being confronted by the Jews in the "Festival of the Booths" and Jesus has a saying that reveals the inner heart as opposed to appearance..."Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”
