Day 164..."Samuel points to God the people ask for a King..."gems"...Seeing Jesus"

As the Ark is returned and what Israel had lost to the Philistines, Samuel points to God but the people ask for a King. The kind of King they want is one that will make them powerful like the Philistines. After all God has done from Egypt forward, Israel still doesn't get where their real strength come from! The gems I see today from the Proverbs are..."Better is a dry morsel with quietthan a house full of feasting with strife"..."Grandchildren are the crown of the aged,and the glory of children is their fathers" and a word about being cool..."Whoever restrains his words has knowledge,and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding." Jesus continues to open the eyes of the healed man...this time he sees Jesus (spiritually)...and the Pharisees eyes remain shut to the truth.
