Day 169..."Jealousy will kill you...Judas fights another green eyed monster."

Saul is bothered that the Legend of David begins to grow. Jealousy sets in big time and David will eventually flee for his life, as Saul tries to kill him. The Proverb says... "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,and favor is better than silver or gold." Perhaps the most quoted Proverb follows..."Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Is this teaching true some people ask if their children fall away? Children may fall away for awhile but they will likely return to their teaching. Planting good seeds as a parent usually out does sowing wild seeds in a life time! Jesus has His feet annointed with expensive oil by Mary. Judas objects. We know about Judas's insincerity about the poor. He had another angle of profit in mind. He like Saul battled himself and a green eyed monster...his may have been greed instead of jealousy. Regardless... he missed a beautiful moment.
