Day 179..."Halfway through the content not year" David becomes King...Everything is vanity...Jesus prays a model prayer"
We are half-way through the content of the Bible but not the year. Our half-way point through the year will come in a few days. David becomes King of Israel at age 30 and rules for 40 years. The Ark of the Lord arrives and there is merry in the air. This angers Saul's daughter.
We begin Ecclesiastes today and read that life is vanity and there is nothing new under the sun.
Hang in there...inspiration will come in this short Book. Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples and the world in John 17. This is a good model for prayer. As we lift our prayers, our circle becomes bigger. I think I will use this model for a few days of praying for self (family), church, and the world.

I take comfort in knowing that Jesus prayed for me while still walking this earth. I also take comfort in knowing that He still prays and intercedes for me at the right hand of the father and His prayers are heard and completed for me and His Church.
