Day 334..."Egypt's Pharoah...Daniel has a lion by the tail...Stand firm"
Ezekiel continues with images of strong nations falling because they have not honored God. One of the strongest is Egypt and even Pharoah will fall. Daniel is put to test in a "den of lions." He, much like Joseph, is innocent. Yet, evil people find a way to fool the king and accuse Daniel of breaking the law. However...the power of God prevails in the lions den. Daniel walks away without a scratch. Darius is relieved and shows regret by sentencing the "knitpickers" into the lions den...their fate was predictable.
Paul say stand firm to Thessalonica..."So then, brothers, stand firm and hold to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by our spoken word or by our letter." In reading these letters, I gain a sense Paul would have made a good motivational speaker.
