Day 348.."King on donkey...Philemon...Holy, Holy, Holy"
The reference in Zachariah is something we will recognize from Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem..."Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey."
Philemon is one Book to read when you only have a few minutes. Only one chapter and not much content. Onesimus is the main subject. Paul is appealing for him to be received. Did he do something wrong? Paul is willing to take responsibility for him.
In Revelation we begin to move into the imagery of the Book. The four living creatures are introduced..."And around the throne, on each side of the throne, are four living creatures, full of eyes in front and behind: the first living creature like a lion, the second living creature like an ox, the third living creature with the face of a man, and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight. And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,
“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,
who was and is and is to come."
