Day 351..."Building houses...The Ultimate Shepherd"

Malachi seeks to restore the fidelity of the faith of Judah in returning from exile. The people seem complacent about letting their faith be polluted. Malachi (with God speaking) is hardly complacent...."“They may build, but I will tear down, and they will be called ‘the wicked country,’ and ‘the people with whom the Lord is angry forever.’” Translation...remember who you are and from where you have come! Hebrews writes about the ultimate builder..."For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. (For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.) Now Moses was faithful in all God's house as a servant, to testify to the things that were to be spoken later, but Christ is faithful over God's house as a son. And we are his house if indeed we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope.’”

Revelation links the twelve tribes of Israel to the final Book. John also provides comforting words in this complex Book...."For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd,
and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Jesus (the Lamb) is the Ultimate Shepherd!
