Day 354..."And on this day the Old Testament is complete...No unpardonable sin...sweet to receive tough to deliver"
On this day 354 of our journey, we complete the Old Testament. Malachi reminds his reader to remember the law of Moses. He also says to watch for Elijah. We have now completed the thirty-nine Books of the Old Testament.
Hebrew addresses the unpardonable sin. What sin is unpardonable? Turning away from Christ on purpose. There is always forgiveness for those who turn to Christ. Those who turn away continuously will not find another savior. William Barclay says no one who thinks they have committed the unpardonable sin has...why? The unpardonable sin would be a person without a conscience and not worried about turning away from God.
Revelation describes eating a scroll that is sweet and goes down bitter. The NKJV notes say it is easy to receive the Word of God but difficult to deliver. Is this not the call to discipleship?
