Day 17 Absorbtion or Hostility?

My NIV study notes says that the Dinah incident was about facing absorbtion or hostility. (Israel was constantly under these threats) The defiling of Dinah was met with swift action. This humiliating act was in no way going to be used for corrupt negotiation. In this case, hostility was chosen over absorbtion of cultures. (See Day 17, August 23, 2006 for more thoughts)
