Day 47 When will the Kingdom Come?

One area of great theological difference is regarding eschatology (end of times or coming of the Kingdom of God). In our tradition, we hold to the teachings that even Jesus claimed He did not know the day or the hour. How could we? Matthew does provide for us symptoms of the end of times. During the robust winds of Hurricane Ivan... I might have could have been convinced the time was near...but it appears to me we just do not know! (For more reading go to Day 47 in September of 2006)

Has not the Kingdom of God already come? John the Baptist and Jesus said, "Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand." Jesus taught at length about the Kingdom! It is not a visible kingdom but in our hearts - IF we have repented and entered Jesus' Kingdom where he rules and reigns in our hearts.

In entirety the Kingdom of God has not come but "glimpses" of the Kingdom are seen by all those who abide in Christ!
