Day 53 Is Peter's Denial Worse than Judas' Betrayal?

I have pondered and wondered is Peter's denial worse than Judas' betrayal? My opinion is the shortcomings were the same. Peter was reinstated through grace and Judas opted away from Jesus. Judas' fate was tragic and opens up other theological questions. Could he have received forgiveness like Peter?
