Day 92 "Do we believe in birth stories?"
The opportunity to be in the delivery room for my three daughters birth changed the way I read Luke's birth story accounts. Birth stories reveal God's wonder. When I read of Elizabeth's and Mary's birth stories and realize God's plan, I am in complete awe for God is so awesome! Zechariah was speechless and so am I! (For more read day 92, November 2006)

It is interesting to me that God describes "Birth" as the necessary process for all things important to Him. Examples: The Birth of the Church, the birth of the nation of Israel, the birth of the Kingdom of God and our New Birth in Christ Jesus. Each occurs with travail - much pain and ends with much joy. Are we going through a painful period? What is God Birthing in us?
