Day 174 What difference do well spoken words make?

The Proverbs again are filled with practical truths. Like...the difference well spoken words make..."A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver." There is power in our words.

In the story of David and Saul there is great drama. Saul seeks to kill David. David has the opportunity to kill Saul but refuses.

Jesus, in His Words, fortells of Judas's betrayal and Peter's denial. He also offers a New Commandment..."A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Drama and "words fitly spoken" highlight our reading today.
