Day 340 What is the form of religion?

Paul warns against the "form of religion"...what is that? John Wesley feared that the people called Methodist would have the form of religion but not power. How today we can focus on the shapes and opinions of religion but miss God's power. God is able! God is near! In God the impossible happens. These are the kind of statements a person with God makes. The "form of religion" is just acting religious for the organizations sake. One strong distinction is "knowing about God and knowing God...there is a difference. Here is the complete verse..."
having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them." Notice the warning...have nothing to do with them!
